In North Africa, the craft, inventions, science, cultures and philosophy of the Amazighs are passed down and perpetuated traditionally through stories, language, dance and song. The dancer and choreographer Radouan Mriziga wanted to honour this legacy in the light of family and western knowledge by throwing himself body and soul into a human and artistic “epic”. It was a way for him to reappropriate History up to the present and to share it by opening up a range of perspectives embracing the Amazighs, all the Mediterranean peoples and the world at large. The performance is an opportunity to enjoy a spectacular experience and to achieve a state of contemplation that allows us to explore our own history and experiment with poetry.
MEETING with the artistic team Tuesday July 5 after the performance.
The performances in Marseille are supported by the Flemish authorities.
